Privacy Policy
Last updated: 16 August 2026
This policy applies to all mobile apps and games published by us ("the apps"), including Triviaverse. One policy, every app — where an app collects something extra, it is listed in the per-app section below.
What we collect
- Account data — email address (if you sign up with email), a display name you choose, and an avatar you pick.
- Gameplay data — scores, match results, answers, and leaderboard standings.
- Your quizzes — custom question packs you write, and the topics you type for AI-generated packs.
- Technical data — basic logs (IP address, timestamps) generated by our servers to keep the service running and abuse-free.
- Notification token — the push token your device issues, stored on your account so the notifications you switch on in Settings can be delivered to it. It is never shown to other players, and we drop it when your device stops accepting notifications and the moment you delete your account.
- Web party guests — the display name and emoji you type when joining a party from a browser, with no account and no sign-in. We create no database record for you: the name and emoji stay in that party's memory on our server while it is live, and inside a signed join token held by your browser tab that expires after two hours. Nothing is saved to persistent browser storage.
We do not collect precise location, contacts, photos, advertising identifiers, or any data for ad tracking. Our apps contain no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.
Why we collect it
- To operate accounts, matchmaking, and leaderboards.
- To send transactional email (welcome message, game results) — only if you opt in; you can switch this off in the app's settings at any time.
- To prevent cheating and abuse.
- To show the other players in a party who is in the room — display name and emoji only.
Who processes it
- Google Firebase — authentication and push notification delivery (privacy)
- Turso — database hosting (privacy)
- Railway — server hosting (privacy)
- Resend — email delivery (privacy)
- Google (Gemini API) and Moonshot AI (Kimi) — AI question-pack generation and safety verification. Only the pack topic you type and the generated question text are sent, and only when you create or refresh an AI pack (Google terms, Moonshot docs)
- Sentry — error monitoring; receives crash and error details (stack traces, request paths) when something breaks (privacy)
We never sell your data, and we never share it with anyone beyond the processors above.
Retention & deletion
Your data is kept while your account exists. Delete your account any time from Settings → Delete Account inside the app — this deactivates it immediately (you disappear from leaderboards and we stop all notifications), and your profile, scores, and match history are permanently erased 30 days later. Signing back in within those 30 days restores your account instead. Server logs rotate automatically within 30 days. Web party guests have nothing to delete: no account or database record is created, the party's copy disappears when it ends or the server restarts, and the join token expires within two hours.
Your rights
You may request access, correction, export, or erasure of your personal data at any time by using the in-app tools or contacting us at the address below.
Children
Our apps are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. Joining a party in a browser needs nothing but a display name you make up.
Per-app specifics
Triviaverse — no data beyond the general policy above. Party guests playing on the web are covered by the web-guest points above.
Changes
We will post any changes on this page and update the date above. Material changes are announced in the affected apps.
